Description: The fifth grade students worked with artists, Anna Podris and Keith Norval to create this beautiful outdoor installation.  Each student sculpted and painted a representation of a bird that lives in North Carolina. The birds are constructed with newspaper, tape and plaster.  The students based their painting designs on examples of real birds they found in their research. Anna and Keith built a structure of natural tree limbs to display all the birds in our outside vegetable garden.
